60 GHz Waveguide Modules
Vubiq’s 60 GHz waveguide modules enable low cost, extremely high speed applications utilizing the globally unlicensed 60 GHz spectrum. Designed with a standard WR-15 (UG-385/U) interface, Vubiq’s modules can be attached to any waveguide component, allowing companies and developers to leverage the power, speed, and cost-effectiveness of the 60 GHz band with their own system configurations.
Vubiq’s waveguide modules use silicon germanium (SiGe)-based radios, allowing them to be offered at a fraction of the price of traditional gallium arsenide (GaAs) and indium phosphide (InP) process technologies – with the associated cost, power and size limiting penetration into commercial markets.
Vubiq’s focus is in bringing millimeter wave to volume applications. By utilizing a combination of silicon-based radios along with our proprietary packaging technologies, we have developed products that compete head to head with current 60 GHz offerings on performance, but at a fraction of the cost.
Disruptive solutions enabled by these products include applications for telecommunications distribution, telecommunications backhaul, and point-to-point data communications.

This custom-designed high-speed flexible cable enables a wide range of options to mount the Vubiq Waveguide Module separately from the interface electroncs.
