Vubiq has developed 60 GHz transmitters and receivers complete with high efficiency antennas integrated into standard ball grid array (BGA) packages. These transmitter and receiver integrated BGA surface-mount packages (standard 10mm x 10mm) exhibit multi-GHz bandwidths capable of achieving multi-gigabit data rates and wide sweep bandwidths for both communications and radar applications (patent pending). Antenna patterns emanate through the top of the BGA package (designed as a millimeter wave radome), allowing for easily adapted board-level designs using these radios.
